Our 16-year-old Chihuaua mix has gotten dangerously picky about what he will and won't eat. And he has kidney issues, so we have to be careful about what we feed him. He loves chicken, so we thought we'd try these freeze-dried treats with him.
I am so relieved that he readily eats them. If you set a few pieces on the counter and step back, it's impossible to tell that these aren't fresh chicken. But when you pick them up, they're totally dry and light as air.
The bag is plastic-free, which feels good And the expiration date makes these good for one year from now. These won't be a total meal replacement for our little guy, but they'll be a safe way to supplement, to make sure he's getting enough calories.
Also...... manufactured in USA. We'll buy these again

I've bought other brands of freeze dried chicken and lots of dog treats before, so I can confidently say that these are great treats! First, they are already in small-medium bite size pieces, so they are easy to use as training rewards without having to break them. Second, they are softer than other freeze dried treats and not nearly as crumbly. I've seen freeze dried chicken dog treats that basically turn into powder. These are so much better.
This is a type of dog treat that is pretty expensive, but if you're going to spend the money, this brand is worth it.

These are made in the USA with limited ingredients so moms happy too!
Moving on to the outside.
I never comment on product packing unless it’s especially bad or good. Well this falls into the good category!
The packaging is plastic free, biodegradable and easy to use. A combo that’s rare to find.
I’ve had several biodegradable bags that’s were a pain to open or the zip seal broke within a few uses. This is quality packaging.
Super impressed with the quality of the product overall!

 These Chiftlik freeze dried chicken dog treats remind me of something the astronauts would have in space. They are are completely dried out. That doesn't seem to bother the dog at all. He scarfs them down whenever I get them out. Tried a few in his dry dog food because he gets picky with regular dog food. He proceeded to pick out the chicken pieces.
I like that they don't have a smell, that they give the dog quality protein without having to worry about refrigeration, and that my dog really enjoys them.
